Have you always wanted to prepare a delicious meal using a Dutch Oven?
Say no more! Sign up for fun and attend this Dutch oven cooking class with an expert Dutch oven instructor!
Rink, your cooking instructor, used to teach Dutch Oven classes for "Becoming an Outdoors Women" and the Girl Scout organization.
Learn hands on how to prepare the Dutch ovens, prepare the ingredients, cooking times and more!
Dutch oven cooking has its beginnings in the late 18th century and while the pots have evolved over time with new styles and new materials, the slow cooking of the food inside has not.
Cooking with a Dutch oven is a "hurry up and wait" style of cooking, with periodical checks on the food inside.
This allows the cooks time to socialize, get other things done, or just sit back and relax with a glass of wine.
Dutch ovens can be used anywhere from the backyard to the back woods. But don't be fooled, it's not all biscuits and cobblers!
If you can cook it in a kitchen oven, you can cook it in a Dutch oven!
Once you learn how to use and care for a Dutch oven, the world of outdoor cooking opens before you!
This class will be held inside the historic 1937 Courthouse and jail, specifically in the outside exercise yard of the old jail!
The instructor will pass out cooking apron to wear over your cloths, divide the group into smaller groups to prepare the appetizers, main course, breads and dessert.
After the meal is done cooking, we eat and enjoy your creations with music!!
Complementary wine will be served, plus cold drinks, bottled water, coffee and teas.

Seasoned pork roast
German Apple Cabbage
Roasted red potatoes
Biscuits
Peach cobbler
Nutella Crescents (done in a reflector oven)
